Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal, the city is 1,336 meters above sea level, located in a valley and covers an area of about 218 square miles. Durbar Square:
Kathmandu’s Durbar Square is the seat of the royal family, where the king of Nepal was crowned. Sinha Durbar:
Singha Durbar is a magnificent palace built in the 19th century in a neoclassical style. It was the private residence of Prime Minister Rana in 1904 and was the most luxurious palace in Asia until 1973 when it was transferred as the secretariat of His Majesty the King of Nepal’s government.

Pashupatinath Temple:
Pashupatinath Temple is a holy place dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has a two-story golden roof and silver doors, making it one of the holiest places for Hindus. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple, and other tourists can see the architecture of the temple from the east bank of the Bagmati River. It is also listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Monkey Temple Pagoda:
Swayambhunath Stupa is one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries in Nepal. Known to be 2000 years old, it has Buddha’s eyes painted on all sides. It sits on a hill about 77m above sea level with excellent views. It is the oldest stupa and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Patan Durbar Square:
Patan Durbar Square is located in the city center and attracts many tourists all year round. This place is full of ancient temples, shrines and palaces and is famous for its architecture. The durbar includes three main chowk, Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Kesar Narayan Chowk. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Krishna Temple:
Krishna Temple holds the commanding heights of Lord Krishna in the palace complex of Patan. It is known to be the first Shikhara style architectural specimen in Nepal. It is the only temple with 21 spires made entirely of stone.

Kinmen:
The Golden Gate is the entrance to the main courtyard of the palace, with 55 windows. Built by a Mara king, the gate is the most beautiful and richly carved structure, a unique site in the whole world. The gates are decorated with gods and monsters. It is one of the famous tourist attractions in Kathmandu.
Gokarna Safari Park:
Gokarna Wildlife Park is a Royal Wildlife Reserve that will be of interest to all animal lovers. It is home to many wild animals, the most famous of which is the point deer. The sanctuary can be seen riding behind the elephants.
National Museum:
The National Museum has a large collection of weapons, from ancient to modern Nepalese artifacts. The archaeological performance of history is commendable. The museum is closed to visitors only on Tuesdays. This is one of the best tourist attractions in Kathmandu.
Chabashir:
Chabahil is a stupa that is known archaeologically to be built in the 3rd century BC by Charumati, the daughter of Emperor Ashoka of India. There are ancient statues around the stupa.
